Equine-Assisted learning Group
This EAL group will focus on helping children ages 5-21 that have been diagnosed with Autism or other special needs. Participants will learn and practice vital concepts and skills such as independence, boundaries, decision making, respect, responsibility, communication, patience, courage, compassion, and social skills. Children develop these skills through activities and interactions with horses, while building self-confidence, self-esteem, and a sense of pride.
equine-assisted psychotherapy (EAP) groups
Various EAP groups will be available in our summer program. People learn by doing and our thoughts and emotions are not always easy to put into words. With horses, words are not necessary and people can look at their lives reflected from the eyes of another without fear of judgement. Each individual can tell their story, making connections and gaining insights that provide long lasting positive impacts in their lives.
